Course Overview

Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) is the industry standard certification for secure software development. The CSSLP is evidence that the professional is equipped with the advanced technical skills and knowledge required for authentication, authorization, and auditing during the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Gaining an internationally respected CSSLP certification for secure software development is a well-proven method of advancing your career and incorporating security practices into each SDLC stage. CSSLP certification highlights superior application security skills and demonstrates to employers and other professionals that you have the advanced technical skills and knowledge required for the SDLC process.

Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years’ cumulative work experience in 1 or more of the 8 domains of the CSSLP Exam Outline, or 3 years of experience as an SDLC professional with a 4-year degree or regional equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

A candidate who doesn’t have the required experience may become an Associate of ISC2 by successfully passing the CSSLP examination. The Associate will then have 5 years to earn the 4 years of required experience.
