Course Overview

Purpose of the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) The CCSP certification was created for the purpose of ensuring that cloud security professionals possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience in cloud security design, implementation, architecture, management, controls and compliance with regulatory frameworks. The Certified Cloud Security Professional is capable of designing, managing, and securing data, applications and infrastructure in the cloud using best practices, policies, and procedures. The Certified Cloud Security Professional possesses expertise in information security and applies it in a cloud computing environment.

Candidates must have a minimum of five years cumulative, full-time experience in Information Technology (IT). Three years must be in cybersecurity, and one year must be in one or more of the six domains of the current CCSP Exam Outline. Earning a post-secondary degree (bachelors or masters) in computer science, IT or related fields may satisfy up to one year of the required experience. An active CISSP credential may be substituted for the entire CCSP experience requirement. Part-time work and internships may also count towards the experience requirement.
